John Deere Construction & Forestry has partnered with schools across the country to offer a two-year associate's degree program. The program consists of classes on campus and then off-campus training at CL Boyd in Oklahoma City. The John Deere Construction & Forestry Tech Program is available at several locations including:

Southeast Community College | Milford, NE

Linn Benton Community College | Lebanon, OR

North Dakota State College of Science | Wahpeton, ND

Dakota County Technical College | Rosemount, MN

Texas State Technical College | Waco, TX

Wake Technical Community College | Raleigh, NC

Suny Cobleskill | Cobleskill, NY

OSU Okmulgee | Okmulgee, OK

The program is intense and focused. You'll learn about John Deere diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulics, and high-tech electrical systems. You will learn about computer diagnostics using proprietary John Deere software and customer communication skills. Training is done on John Deere equipment with access to web-based courses within John Deere University. 

You'll work at CL Boyd as part of the curriculum. This is where you will put everything you know about John Deere diesel engines, powertrains, electronics, hydraulics, and diagnostics into practice. 

CL Boyd will sponsor the right candidate to attend the John Deere Construction & Forestry Equipment Technician program. You must meet all the program requirements and be accepted into the program. After acceptance into the program and completion of the on-campus coursework, you will finish your training here at CL Boyd. CL Boyd will offer tuition reimbursement after the successful completion of the program.

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Have good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Have the ability to work on a team

  • Have the ability to multi-task and stay on task until completion
