Technicians are expected to have their own basic tools, but CL Boyd provides specialty tools and diagnostic equipment. We also offer tool allowances to help technicians expand their toolsets.

Yes. Experience in HVAC, electrical, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, hydraulics, heavy equipment, or another technical trade can provide valuable skills that transfer to a diesel technician career. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy troubleshooting and hands-on work, your existing experience could be a great foundation for a career at CL Boyd.

A technical degree or trade school training can be helpful, but it isn't the only path to becoming a diesel technician. CL Boyd considers candidates with relevant technical experience and provides training and development opportunities to help technicians continue building their skills.
